Neighbors in Need (NIN) is a special mission offering of the United Church of Christ that supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. One-third of NIN funds support the Council for American Indian Ministry (CAIM). Two-thirds of this offering is used by the UCC’s Justice and Witness Ministries (JWM) to support a variety of justice initiatives, advocacy efforts, and direct service projects through grants. Neighbors in Need grants are awarded to UCC churches and organizations doing justice work in their communities. These grants fund projects whose work ranges from direct service to community organizing and advocacy to address systemic injustice. Help us support Neighbors in Need on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
In a world where loneliness is an epidemic, building relationships and connecting to community is more important than ever. In an effort to build a more connected Kansas-Oklahoma Conference, churches across our two states will be hosting a series of Holy Conversations this fall. Between the weekends of August 23 and October 19, you will have the opportunity to travel and gather with other members of the UCC to break bread, engage in some type of worship, and connect with old friends and new. Keep an eye out for registration on the KO website (kocucc.org); signups will begin after General Synod 35 in July.
“Holy Conversations” at Open Arms will take place on weekends through Saturday, October 11th.
