Worship 6pm

Cathedral of Hope celebrates an open communion. We don’t require you to be a member of this church, or any church at all, to participate with us in this feast of grace.

We gather for worship every Sunday evening at 6pm.  Our services are streamed live on our Facebook page.

Cathedral of Hope believes that God loves all people, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, ability, or race, and the church should reflect God’s embrace of all creation. We know that there are many churches in Oklahoma City that do not welcome everyone, but we are different. People in the LGBTQ community have been badly hurt by these churches. We welcome you, your family and friends, just as you are. Let us be your new family of choice.

We celebrate an open communion. We don’t require you to be a member of our church or any church at all. Everyone is welcome to come forward. You will find all kinds of people at the table; gay, lesbian, bi, transgender, questioning, and ally alike. We are all one church. We come together to hear the good news of the Gospel; that God loves us, just as we are!

We believe in the Bible as a wonderful way to understand and interpret our faith, but we allow for interpretation of scripture to guide our reading in new and exciting ways. We find we are called to love all people, just as God loves us. We are challenged to stand up for the poor and oppressed, especially in the LGBTQ community. We believe the Bible speaks to us today, helping us to respond to the needs of today’s challenges.

Our worship is considered “high church,” but with traditions from many churches represented. People from many backgrounds come to Cathedral of Hope, so our worship is a reflection of that. We use gender inclusive language for God, so everyone feels welcome. We try our best to fully explain each part of the service with a printed, in depth, bulletin, so that all can participate fully in worship.

This is Cathedral of Hope. No matter who you are, who you love, or where you are on life’s journey, you’re welcome here.

We are reclaiming a Christianity of extravagant grace, radical inclusion, and relentless compassion.

Will I be welcomed?

We are a diverse congregation made up of gay and straight, young and old. We welcome all people, regardless of faith background, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, ability, legal status, or race. Our wish is that you would join us, worship with us, and experience God’s love for you. No matter where you are on life’s journey, or who you love, you are welcome at Cathedral of Hope.
