5:10 Those who believe in the Son of God have the testimony in their hearts. Those who do not believe in God have made him a liar by not believing in the testimony that God has given concerning his Son.

5:11 And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

5:12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

In just a few short years, recycling programs have become much more commonplace. Gasoline and Natural Gas demand are down, and not just because of the recession. U.S. usage is lower because we are purposely using less. Every week I pass parts for Wind Turbines being trucked to construction sites. Oklahoma has the most alternative energy vehicles per capita in the country. We may not turn the tide completely, but we can surely try.

It seems like just a few short years ago that LGBT persons were making a presence on my college campus for the first time. Back then, the organization was called GALA, and was not fully recognized by the university. Now in 2012, we are fighting for marriage equality. I am amazed that Barack Obama is the first President to fully endorse Gay Marriage.

I believe there is hope. Anything is possible in Christ Jesus. We are moving forward on issues like gay rights and the environment. We will continue to move forward. Who knows where we will be in just a few short years.
